Algorithmic Biologics is bringing the power of algorithms to biotechnology-based industries by building the information processing layer for biological data. Our founder-CEO is a scientist with two decades of research experience in molecular computing and machine learning, and considered a world leader in his field. Almost half of our team has PhDs. The team has a cumulative 35+ years of enterpreneurship experience and is supported by an active scientific advisory board consisting of world-leading experts who are themselves successful entrepreneurs having created total wealth in excess of a billion dollars. Uniquely, multiple individuals in our team are transdisciplinary, able to both write Machine Learning code and engage with the science of molecular testing.
Dr. Manoj Gopalkrishnan
Manoj Gopalkrishnan is the founder and CEO of ABPL. He is a researcher with 18 years of research experience in Molecular Computing. He has been associated with leading scientific research institutes including Duke University, TIFR Mumbai, International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, TIFR Hyderabad, California Institute of Technology, Monash University, and IIT Bombay. He holds a B. Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur and a Ph. D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California where he worked with Turing award-winner Professor Len Adleman on DNA Self-Assembly and on Chemical Reaction Network Theory. He is an interdisciplinary researcher with publications in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Information Theory, Control Theory, and Machine Learning. His paper "Geometric Approach to the Global Attractor Conjecture" remains the strongest partial result towards a 50-year-old open problem central to chemical reaction network theory. He is the first person to demonstrate programmable self-assembly of DNA into hexagonal lattices, cylinders, and Möbius strips while still a graduate student. His work on the thermodynamics of information has radically challenged existing notions in the field. His work on machine learning algorithms implemented in chemical reactions has laid the foundations for the field of molecular intelligence. His awards and recognition include the Ramanujan fellowship, and the Viterbi graduate fellowship. He has coauthored more than 40 papers with more than 450 citations, and 2 patent publications. He has been a regular member of the program committee for the International Conference on DNA Computing and Molecular Programming for the past several years. His mission is to bring intelligence to molecules thus enabling a bountiful and sustainable world with justice and equal opportunity for all.
